Loops: Dual Rhythm
This diptych is part of my Loops collection, a reflection on my recent life process—a continuous cycle of repetition with subtle variations. Both paintings explore the rhythm of daily routines through a grid of soft, overlapping circles, where color gradients flow from light to dark and vice versa.
On the left, the transition moves inward from pale to deep tones, creating a visual pull toward the center. On the right, the inverse occurs—dark tones emerge from the center and expand outward, pushing the eye to the edges. This pairing creates a dialogue of contrast and balance, tension and harmony.
Together, they experiment with figure-ground perception, challenging how visual elements advance or recede in space. Though individually complete, they are conceptually intertwined—mirroring the duality of our internal cycles: push and pull, light and shadow, stillness and shift.
