Loops 7
Loops 7 consists of two pieces created as a set, continuing the ideas explored in the Loops collection. Through repeated brushstrokes and layers built over time, the work seeks to create the smoothest possible color transition.
This set moves through yellow-green and purple, using complementary color relationships to create both tension and balance. In each painting, the top layer reverses the colors of the background, creating a shifting figure–ground relationship. As the upper colors gradually fade back into the surface, the boundary between what comes forward and what recedes becomes less certain.
The second piece follows the same structure in reverse. Placed side by side, the two works complete one another — moving between light and dark, forward and backward, repetition and reversal — forming a continuous loop.
